Our Mission
The wedding industry caters to a heteronormative society. We want our LGBTQ+ community to have fun and feel supported when making their dream wedding a reality.
Our Wedding Pros are joining us in changing the dialogue in the wedding industry by committing to “Inclusivity for ALL”. While we know that we cannot guarantee that this space is inclusive and safe to all as a company we are committed to learning, growing and working hard to create a space that welcomes all to our best ability.
Our Wedding Pros are a mix of LGBTQ+ members and Allies.
Connecting you with your Wedding Dream Team!
It’s time to bring your visions into a reality while being surrounded by love.
To make our lawyer happy, we’ll point out that our Vendor list offers a way for couples to safely and easily find companies in the wedding industry that are inclusive - where you don’t have to “out” yourselves to know if your love will be accepted and treated equally. Our Certified Pros are those who are not only accepting, but also affirming of all LGBTQ+ forms of love and commitment. However, we have no control over the ability of Vendors to provide items or perform services, we are not a party to any transaction with any of our Vendors unless expressly agreed, and we make no representations or warranties and are not liable or responsible for the actions of our Vendors. We are simply presenting you with options.
Our Partners
From the founders of Vendors of Color:
We do things a little differently around here: we are focused on uplifting and supporting the BIPOC community in the PNW, especially those involved in the wedding industry. We aim to promote racial justice & equity within our Pacific Northwest communities, and we also seek to decolonize an industry and locality that's been dominated by racism and exclusivity for far too long.
We created this directory for Black and Brown wedding vendors because we all know how hard it is to get the recognition you deserve when, simply put, you're not white enough.
