Hey! I'm Sara, and so excited that you have found Rainbow Weddings & Events! Creative, fun, and magical events make my heart beat. I cannot say no to the opportunity to bring a bunch of people together to celebrate something wonderful. Give me your colors, theme, must haves and I promise you that all you will need to do is show up, grab a beverage, eat good food, and join the party. I love the little things and the details while also being able to see the big picture (what is the whole thing going to look like). I believe in the magic of each moment that events like yours can create and I cannot wait to see what we can do together.

With over 10 years of event planning experience, planning my wife and my wedding myself did not seem daunting and I knew it would be a lot of fun. That being said, I found that sifting through to find LGBTQIA+ friendly vendors and venues was challenging. As a queer couple, my wife and I have had our fair share of awkward conversations and situations, but this was new because it involved explaining who we were and having uncomfortable conversations with many people who really did not seem to have a lot of experience working with LGBTQIA+ couples. In the end, we were blessed to find unbelievable people who supported us in making our wedding an event that our guests still talk about 5 years later.

Rainbow Weddings & Events by Sara's belief is that planning a wedding or event should be as stress free as possible. The planning process should be filled with joy and feel smooth each step of the way. Regardless of how you and your person identify, you should feel heard, valued, and cared for throughout the process. That is what we are all about. We are connected with amazing people and vendors who have worked with couples and individuals from every background imaginable and are about making inclusive magic just like us. Meet The Team

Sara (she/they) is a strong, Queer, Black Queen passionate about love and making magical things happen with her clients. With over 10 years of event planning experience, Sara provides custom, partial, and day of wedding and event coordination. Sara combines her social justice and equity background with her wedding and event planning to create an inclusive, authentic planning experience that centers her clients and the people they are. Sara believes in people, love and inclusion; in being as creative as possible; in working with clients to bring their vision to life; and most of all, in creating magical moments. Sara lives in Woodland, CA with her wife Michelle and their Mini Aussie Doodle Hobie.
